Background
A client requested an upgrade to a fire pump design with suppression system to increase the viability of an existing storage building. Pandemic-era supply chain issues would delay delivery of the chosen electronic component, postponing project completion.
Value Provided
With the client, FD Fire Design suggested switching to a readily available diesel-drive fire pump, and met with the architect, engineer, and construction team to facilitate the transition. The client responded quickly and the city approved the revised design. The available diesel pump was delivered on time, allowing the system to be installed, inspected, and operational within the client’s original required timeline.
